COMPASSION & DESPAIR …

Being a human is not easy. Our emotions bounce off the inside of our skull like a ping pong ball and sometimes it takes all we have just to hang on to the crazy roller-coaster. 

These paintings help me to focus and maintain massive amounts of creative energy within a flowing continuum from piece to piece. As artists we have to open up ourselves as a conduit and occasionally the flow can become intense.

The one on the left is Compassion and when I experience a wave of mania beginning to surge in my imagination, or a severe case of depressive visions, I will rein in energy by focusing on this piece. 

The one on the right is Despair and I explore it when I feel a valley coming on, or a manic case of euphoria peaking through my emotions.

Together they keep me on track and focused.
